Love Where You Local: A Summer Evening at BDI

One of our favourite parts of being Winnipeg REALTORS® is getting to share the local places that make our city feel like home. Through our Love Where You Local series, we're highlighting some of the businesses, neighbourhoods, events, and experiences that make Winnipeg such a special place to live.

Last month, Anika and I headed over to one of Winnipeg's most iconic summer destinations, BDI (Bridge Drive-In) in South Osborne. If you've lived in Winnipeg for any length of time, chances are you have fond memories of grabbing an ice cream and taking a walk along the river.

This visit was extra special because it marked Anika's official Love Where You Local voice-over debut, and she absolutely stole the show.

We spent the evening enjoying ice cream by the bridge, taking in the beautiful river views, and even spotted a deer along the way. It was one of those simple summer nights that perfectly captures what we love about living in Winnipeg.

As Winnipeg REALTORS®, we spend a lot of time helping people find the right home, but we also believe that loving where you live goes beyond your front door. It's about having great local businesses to support, beautiful neighbourhoods to explore, and traditions that bring people together year after year.

Whether you're a lifelong Winnipegger or new to the city, BDI is one of those places that belongs on every summer bucket list.

What's your go-to BDI order?
